In case you haven’t notice, this blog is now covered with thousands of names of the June 2009 Nursing Board Exam Passers. Before you react and say that this blogger has completely gone bonkers, do note that this blog is intended to make this mercenary blogger money! So fret not, there is a method to this madness. In fact in the last three days I’ve already made a few dollars in adsense money because of these names.
If you haven’t figured out this one yet, this mode of making money is actually quite common. All you need is to know an incoming event that would surely draw internet surfers like flies to raw meat. In my case, I like to go after volume searchers of board exam results. In my country, the Philippines for example, one of the licensure examinations that has loads of hopeful examinees is the Nursing Licensure exams. In the latest Nursing Board Exams for example, the total number of examinees reached more than 80K. So naturally, when the results come out, a huge portion of these 80K will be surfing the net looking for the results.
If you corner a portion of these surfers, it could actually bring you a tidy sum from all the pageviews. Of course that’s easily said than done. You need to be very good in SEO so your site gets included in the first page. Not only that, you also need to be a little bit creative in how you monetize the ensuing traffic. In my latest SEO exercise, I actually came across a guy who was pretty clever in monetizing the traffic. It was a really good learning experience for me.
