After The CPA Board Exams Results

by Merc on October 21, 2009

I had another successful run optimizing for the recent Philippines CPA Board Exams for October. Optimizing for this type of event is really fun and profitable as well. It also contributes significantly to traffic generation even if it only lasts a couple of days.

Two of my sites, thirdworldgeek.com and cpaboardexams.info figured prominently in Google’s search engine results and raked in at least 40,000 views in the past couple of days. The clickthroughs in my adsense account was quite satisfying as well. If you’re a piney blogger and you’re not optimizing this type of event, then you’re missing a lot. It’s fun, and it’s also a good exercise for your optimization skills.

Now the traffic from that event has started to trickle down but still it contributes to a couple of thousand visits to my sites.

The next big thing will be the results of the September 2009 Teachers Board exams but that would come in later this year or early next year. The November 2009 Nursing Board Exams is coming up as well so if you want to catch on, you better start preparing this early.

So far the landscape has gotten really competitive. The early adopters are really feeling the pinch compared to before when only a few guys were practically lording it over the search engine results. It shouldn’t discourage you though if you want to get on the board exam bandwagon. With a little practice and a lot of patience, you should be able to grab a slice of the board exam pie.

It wouldn’t hurt to try.
