I Shot Adgitize Between The Ize
Well, my adgitize experiment is over, as in totally over. lol.
I did mention here a couple of posts ago that I experimented with Adgitize by purchasing an ad spot with them for a month at a cost of $14. I’ve heard good things about Adgitize so I thought, why not try it out, it’s not gonna burn me anyway. At least not by much. So I did.
Unfortunately I couldn’t do all the things necessary to at least break-even with my advertising expense. Maintaining a slew of blogs is pretty intense I tell ay. So intense that I couldn’t even click on the adgitize ads that would have earned me points and bring at least a few steps closer to regaining my ‘investment’.
I thought that even without that added step I would still be able to earn enough points to at least shave a couple of bucks off what I paid. I was wrong. Fine, fine, it’s not adgitize’s fault. I was preoccupied with other things, blogs mostly that I couldn’t do all those stuff as I mentioned.

I was also betting on the unbelievable number of views that my ads had been getting to at least convert so I can get traffic to my site. However the clickthrough rate was really appalling. A 0.9% clickthrough rate is not something that you bring home to mommy, although at $.007/click (based on $14 payment) it’s cheap.
Putting it into context, majority of those clicks were probably a result of the incentive when clicking adgitize ads. There may be a smattering of clicks brought about by eyeballs from my placed ads but I seriously doubt that it would amount to anything significant. Getting hits through the latter would have been really great especially if you have anything to sell, at least then you could say that those were targeted clickers but if they’re not and I seriously think that they’re not, advertising further with adgitize ads, at least for me, really defeats my purpose. And this is why I’m discontinuing my experiment with Adgitize.
However, if you intend to earn a little extra cash for some effort, Adgitize is still viable based on the testimonials I’ve read. If you fit in this mold, then by all means continue, and good luck.

I only post twice a week and click on the required 51 sites per day (and do that at the same time as I do my EntreCard drops). Even with such a small effort, I break even and gain traffic. So I think Adgitize is good value! Just my opinion.
I visited all of your blogs and I did not see a single Ads of Adgitize except on your Philippines Travel Blog, or you took them off already?
As you may have noticed, I was offline for a month. No updates on all my blogs, no clicking on any Adgitize Ads, but still I earned $30.00 on the month of September due to those Ads that are on my blogs. You can still earn points on page views!
Based on my visits on your blogs, you could have earned more than me!!! Seriously.
But, I guess Adgitize is not for you.

Erik, I may have to rethink my approach on Adgitize. There were some weird things going on with my adgitize account though. I may have to go through it again.

My experience is a bit different. I post daily, have pretty good traffic, and try to visit at least 50 Adgitize sites a day. For me, it has consistently paid off, getting good traffic and positive cashflow.
True, it isn't a lot of money, and true, I have a very low CTR for the Adgitize traffic. However, for my purposes a low CTR isn't a concern. I'm not trying to get people to buy stuff or click on ads. I'm trying to get them to read, and hopefully think. That part seems to be working well.
I tried being an advertiser just this month. and I guess adgitize is doing pretty well for me.
I haven't tried it yet but have been seeing it around on a lot of other blogs lately. I think I will check it out today. I get traffic from google search but maybe this will increase my traffic. Hoping for the best

I can't quite figure out how to click on Adgitize ads and Entrecard at the same time. I had to do all my Entrecard drops and then go to Adgitize and do all those and that took forever. I finally gave up clicking on the Adgitize ads and just do the Entrecards. Can you explain how to do both together?
