Going For The Low Hanging Fruit
How many of ‘us’ are having difficulty making money online?
Please raise your hand (mine is already raised).
If everyone who is trying to make money online sees the above question, I’m pretty sure at least 80% will raise their hand. So don’t worry about having difficulty making money online, trust me, you are in very good company.
Almost all of us dream of working at home, who wouldn’t? Banging away on your home computer in your pajamas, waking up at whatever time you want, not having to commute to the office.. I mean it’s a pretty sweet deal. But can it be done? Yes, most definitely. Can I show you a super-quick way of getting to that situation? HELL YES!
Is what I would say. But then again I’d be lying.
Based on experience, and believe me, I’d been doing this for sometime, and yes, I still go to the office (dammit), it’s not easy. It takes a lot of patience and perseverance to earn even a hundred dollars a month. I don’t want to say ‘JUST’ a hundred dollars a month because that would be insulting to those who are still waiting for their adsense account to hit that figure. It took me more than a year to hit that figure. Pathetic I know, but you know what, I’m pathologically lazy so the length of time didn’t actually surprise me.
Anyway, after I got my first $100, going after the second $100 was relatively easy. The secret, and it’s no secret at all, is time. We all need time. Especially more so if you’re a working stiff like me. You just don’t decide one day to create a blog and expect a whole lotta cash the week after. It doesn’t happen that way; well it happened in some cases, but those were exceptions.
Alright enough pontificating.
The purpose of this post is to bring into your consciousness the idea of low hanging fruits– easy things that you can do with your blog so you hit that $100 figure sooner than expected. The general idea about going for the low hanging fruit is to have more than one revenue stream. Google adsense, if you don’t know this yet, is not the be all and end all.
There are other ways of earning money online. And instead of you guys having to wade into hundreds of products promising you the sun the moon and Megan Fox’s boobs, I’ll let you in on my proven moneymakers. And no, I’m not selling anything because they’re free.
Ok here there they are; drumrolls please.
1. Adsense – need I say more?
2. Chitika – you should know that this is my affiliate link. However feel free to click on my link and register with them so I can make money off you. loll.
3. Infolinks – no affiliate link this one.
4. Smowtion – oh yes, this one is an affiliate link as well. I just started with Smowtion though but it already looks promising. C’mon click on the link, what have you got to lose? I’ll just make money off you, no biggie.
5. Sponsored Posts/Reviews – this is a double-edged sword and I’ll have a separate article on this one, though I’ve been endorsing this revenue stream for a while now.
6. Private Ads – this is where time plays a huge part. After a given period of time, and if you’re not lazier than me (that would be a world record if you are), you should have a blog that has a decent amount of links, has some good enough link pop, and something that you can be proud of to mom and dad. This is crucial because if your blog doesn’t account to anything, nobody will be approaching you. So far I’m getting a good enough amount from my monthly private ads. Enough to sustain my twice a day coffee addiction.
Alright there they are. Nothing really super about them. I just set them all up in my blogs. Whenever I feel inspired, I come up with original content do a little networking here, a little SEO there. And that’s it.

When it come to making money online, beginners have no choice. They just have to start from the bottom and pick their way up. As since time is an essence, they really need to be patience to reap the rewards.
What about AFFILIATES? Are they harder to reach?
I just came across your Blog. I have been Blogging a Few months and I know now I am only Starting to see the Search Traffic and I still have some Time to Wait until I see Some cash. But you Have to Think of Every Blog Post as 2 cents a Day and if you have 100 it's $2.00.But It's only Later that you Learn to write your $100 a Day Posts
If you're really serious about this one, you need one very important thing– a list. Setting it up is easy, but to actually earn from it can be quite hard. You need lots of traffic and/or a list.
Making money online is way harder that some people would have you believe. Still waiting for my first Adsense payout……
I'm wondering what are the main reasons it does take so long to make money online? Is it because you have to build up content and lists or does it just take that long for people to start noticing.
What I discovered is that the more money you make online, the easier it gets. Everyone wants to know how it's done once you git $1,000 a month.
