One of my many weaknesses is my propensity to purchase books even when I still have a lot of unread materials in my mini-library. There’s something about an interesting piece of literature that really tempts me into picking it up and bringing it to a cashier. As a result, I have piles and piles of books in my house and I don’t even know what to do with them.

I was thinking the other day that since Christmas is just around the corner, I might as well give some of my books as presents. I thought it was such a good idea until I realized that some folks may not want to receive second hand books. I then had the brilliant idea of turning those old books that I no longer want into cash. Of course this means selling them. I should think it would be easy finding places where to sell used books. I mean with the proliferation of second hand bookstores, I don’t see it as a problem.

As I was browsing the web, looking for places to sell my books, I came across this site, SellBackYourBook.com. It’s a cool website that gives you instant price quotes for the books that you’re thinking of selling. Payment is also a breeze as they offer Paypal and Checks as modes of payment. They’ll even shoulder the shipping costs via pre-paid postage label, making life very easy for you.

Take note however that this is not a bookstore so you can’t buy books there. They are only interested in purchasing books. So if you’re like me and you want to get rid of some of your old books, you might want checking out their site.
Now if you want to sell dvds online, well, that’s another story.
